Water World Swim kayaker John Clements is involved in a great project that we’d like to share with everyone. As Transportation Director for Kings Canyon Unified School District, John has been diligently working on acquiring funding for hybrid school buses for their fleet. So far they have secured funding for five (and counting) which will set a precedent for California. The clean, safe and fuel-efficient buses will replace old school buses at least three decades old that no longer meet California’s new air quality and emissions standards. Not only is he helping the district go green, but by taking advantage of the various incentives and funding programs available will save the district lots of green also. Way to go John! Read more…
