Join us in our support for the brave WWS coaches and swimmer who will be competeing in the 2014 Half Ironman triathlon in Pucon, Chile in January! These incredible athletes will endue a 1.9km swim, 90km bike ride, and a 21km run on January 12th. This challenging event takes place in beautiful Pucon, complete with stunning views of the Villarrica Volcano. Water World Swim will also be organizing swim clinics in Pucon, and will take Mack’s Earplugs as a joint sponsor. We thank CEO Peter Brenner for 12 years of mutual support!

WWS Coach Jake Glodowski
Jake, an Alcatraz swimmer, coach, and swim support team member, has completed more than a dozen Ironman and half Ironman triathlons!
WWS Swimmer Solange Degand
Solange Degand is a Chilean-American triathlete who will be competing in the Half Ironman Pucon for the second time, representing Water World Swim. She has trained in the San Francisco Bay and has completed the swim from Alcatraz.
WWS Coach Pedro Ordenes
Water World Swim’s legendary Coach from Chile has completed hundreds and hundreds of Alcatraz swims, and prides himself on being the oldest coach. He has also completed an Ironman, swum the Strait of Magellan in the Patagonia Punta Arenas, and the Beagle Channel among many other prolific swims. This will be his second time to compete in Pucon.
WWS Coach Mike Lockwood
Coach Mike Lockwood will be conducting swim clinics and directing swims in Lake Villarrica prior to the triathlon, and coaching the team for the swim portion of the event.
